Event/Location Details: Sufficient fishing access surrounding the lake which will be stocked with catfish the week of the event. Lunch and drinks will be donated and served free of charge. There will be bait available at no cost while supplies last. Big fish competitions at all age groups and a drawing will be held for fishing gear, tackle, equipment, etc.
There are restrooms available, and the event will be based out of the pavilion area. Families are welcome to come before the event and start fishing when the lake opens 30 minutes before sunrise and stay after the event ends until the lake closes 30 minutes after sunset.
Boats are allowed at New Lake, but no gas motors are allowed. Boating safety regulations will be enforced.
No registration is required.
