Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) will hold a public listening session on February 20, 2024 concerning management of the Hiwassee River Trout Fishery. TWRA regularly revises the Hiwassee River Trout Fishery Management Plan to ensure management strategies are still effective and relevant. Anglers and members of the public are encouraged to comment on the state of the fishery and provide input of ways to make improvements.
The in-person meeting will be held from 6-8 pm EST at Lee University in the School of Business Room 236. Staff from TVA, US Forest Service, and Tellico Hatchery will also be present. A pre-recorded PowerPoint and online form will also be available for individuals unable to attend in-person but still have an interest in contributing.
