East Tennessee Mountain Trapping Training Camp
TWRA is partnering with local trappers to host a youth training camp March 10-12 at the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area in Campbell Co. This free course introduces youth to trapping and predator control in the mountains of East Tennessee and includes lessons on trapping, trapping equipment, ethics and regulations, setting traps, and running live trap lines. The course is open to youth ages 10-15 and parents are encouraged to join.
Students will need transportation to and from the NCWMA office each day. The course begins with a provided meal on Friday from 6-9 p.m. and with breakfast on Saturday and Sunday from 8-4 p.m. Students will need to bring a packed lunch both days.
