License Expiration Dates: Annual licenses and permits are valid 365 days from the date of purchase, unless otherwise noted. Example: If you purchase an annual license on February 1 that license expires on February 1 the following year. Some items, such as Migratory Bird Permits, have fixed expiration dates regardless of the date of purchase. Please take note of the effective and expiration dates of the licenses in the cart prior to checkout.

Renewal Eligibility: Existing licenses must be within 10 days of expiration in order to be eligible for renewal.

Existing Customers: Resident and Non-Resident customers can log in using Customer Date of Birth & Last 4 of SSN (Select "Use Different Info to Sign In" below submit button for additional sign in options.)

New Customers: Resident and Non-Resident customers must start the purchase process by creating a TWRA customer account. A Social Security Number is required to purchase a Tennessee hunting or fishing license.1

Residency: Customers must have a valid Tennessee Driver's License or State of TN issued Photo ID to be considered a Resident for fishing and hunting licenses. Residency is verified through the TN Dept. of Safety's online system.

Juveniles: Youth under 16 years of age may follow the steps above to locate or create a TWRA account.

Electronic Licenses
The electronic copy of your license that you receive by email is a true and legal copy of your license. You may also have another email of your license sent to you by logging in to your account and selecting "reprint my license".

    Report Your Harvest Online 24/7/365
Customers must check game before midnight the day a harvest occurs. To check in a harvest, simply log in to your account, click report a harvest, and fill out the harvest reporting form.

1 Social Security Numbers are required in accordance of the Social Security Act (42 U.S. Code § 666 Subsection 13a) for all U.S Citizens. All NON U.S. Citizens are required to provide other forms of documentation to purchase a hunting and fishing license.
