If you are between the ages of 10-16, hunter safety-certified, and have never harvested a deer before, you are eligible to win the hunt of a lifetime for opening day of Tennessee's Young Sportsman Deer Hunt on October 31, 2020. Thirty (30) lucky hunters will be selected. These young hunters will be hunting Buffalo Ridge Refuge in Humphreys County. The property incorporates a variety of wildlife management practices and encompasses about 2,000 acres of prime deer habitat. Tree-stands will be provided, among which three are handicapped-accessible. The event will incorporate a Friday night cookout and campout on October 30, 2020 (You must provide your own camping gear). Breakfast and lunch will also be provided on Saturday. The Agency will hold a drawing and the winners will be notified. Confirmation will be sent to successful applicants. Winning hunters are responsible for providing appropriate Tennessee hunting license and must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult at least 21 years of age or older.
